First and foremost, spirits love to taunt Christians, especially young ones and those with family/anger problems or boy/girl problems. Like an enemy, they attack when you are down the most. During war, an enemy will attack just after lunch or dinner because that is when a Soldier is the most lazy. Likewise, if your faith is weak it stands to reason the attacks will begin. The more depressed or angry you become, the stronger the influence can become.
If you feel like you want to hurt yourself or someone else, please see your parent or someone you trust as soon as possible. Spirits can and WILL make this feeling worse. Death is not and never was an escape. Don't cry silently in pain. There are a lot of people out there who care. Cutting or marking the skin is another way a demon mocks God. In the book of Leviticus 19:28 "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." Or in Latin if you prefer: "et super mortuo non incidetis carnem vestram neque figuras aliquas et stigmata facietis vobis ego Dominus." Yes, that was a joke - REAL Latin, but a joke. The terms spirit, ghost, entity, and demon are the same thing. The difference came about 1340 when the practice of Alchemy was common. King Solomon was the first to write down anything in a book format regarding demons. This book is dismissed by the 'educated' as a fantasy. Whether a fantasy or not, it does in fact have the names of several demons that can and will come when summoned or called.
Spirits can't hurt you. Recently, we have had numerous kids ask if a spirit can kill you. In 30 years we have never heard of this. So far it is nothing more than Hollywood fables.
NEVER NEVER talk to a spirit. Never call it out like Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, or Most Haunted do.
One of the hardest things for you to do as a kid is try to explain the unexplained to your mom and dad. I thought I saw a ghost when I was little and my mom said, "You have a great imagination." We know from our experiences that some kids see ghosts and other kids have way more interaction with them. The following is one person's idea from Yahoo Answers:
"Instead of blurting it all out straight away you should test the water. I don't know how old you are but you could say your doing some kind of class project or something? Or maybe ask them if they believe in ghosts? If they say yes, then ask if they have seen one, because you think you might have. Build up gradually so not to freak them out! Sometimes people can be very stubborn about this sort of stuff."
We do not recommend trying to get rid of an entity yourself. There is a procedure and it does require strong faith, knowledge, and skill. If you attempt to do this, you can make a spirit angry or agitated and it will turn up the heat on you.
